The day featured two performances. First, a complimentary show matinee show for over 500 special guests, including senior citizens, underprivileged children, and children with disabilities.

Patrons were transported on a musical journey that took them to the four corners of Thailand, as well as across the Atlantic and Pacific oceans for a cappella renditions of songs from the Great American Songbook and the Beatles.

There were moments the stage was filled with over 80 performers, while other moments it just a single performer under a spotlight; a lone, blind pianist playing his heart out.

There was music. There was singing. There was dancing. And every single moment, was simply captivating, and breathtaking.

Meanwhile, original artworks were beautifully displayed in the foyer of Aksra Theatre King Power, the venue of the event. Six international schools in Bangkok had kindly curated 38 stunning student artworks for our Silent Auction, ranging from artists as young as seven years old to high school students.

Staying true to its mantra of “where cause and community connect”, Kula the organizer brought together youths, people and patrons from far and wide to support two highly deserving charities: the Bangkok Post Foundation (make hyperlink to their old page) and the Mercy Centre’s Human Development Foundation. The result?
An impressive amount of THB 1,060,993.18 was raised that evening.

Both organizations have commendably dedicated themselves to improving the quality of life for countless underprivileged children and youths in Thailand over the years, and we are proud and honored to have played a small part in helping them continue their noble effort.
