ABOUT AKSRA THEATRE

Aksra Theatre King Power began operating in April 2008 and is located on the 3rd floor of the King Power Rangnam. The aim of its inception was to function as a catalyst for the arts and culture scene in Bangkok, and bring back to life the color and ingenuity of Thai cultural entertainment.

The name “Aksra” comes from the word “Aksorn” which stands for the letters of the Thai alphabet. It symbolizes the beginning of the Thai language, which then helped to form the origins of Thai culture as it currently is, symbolizing the creation of Thai civilization, arts and culture. This culture makes the Thai people unique, and bestowing this name with this symbolism for the Theatre and its beautifully crafted and decorated interiors, which are a monument to Thai culture upon themselves, is what brings the theatre to life on the 3rd floor of the King Power Rangnam.

The Group invested over 700 million baht in the construction of the theater, to make sure it stood out as a phenomenon on par with the great theatres found in the international arena. The interiors of the theatre take on inspiration from the Asian Baroque style and are adorned with ornate filigree and ancient Thai symbols. Behind the scenes, the latest in stage technology brings the theatre to life, helping to make audiences a part of the performance with splendid lighting and music effects, amongst the latest available worldwide.

With its warmth and splendor, Aksra Theatre is the truly the perfect venue for this year’s “A Night to Remember” Charity Concert and Silent Auction. We hope to see you there!
