#20 Still Life Fruit and Cutting Board

This piece depicts daily-life objects that we may not acknowledge, other than it’s practical purpose. Generally, fruit represents the natures of our “being”, our transient existence. With many other still-life artworks, it is fully up to the viewer to interpret the artwork’s meaning. To me, this artwork is simply about observing the world around us and taking acknowledgment to the objects around us, which can be as simple as fruit that we eat, our the tableware we use, also appreciating these small things. Our consciousness and sentience of the world around us is something to be observed in this painting.
