The Legacy

In September 2014, the a cappella group the Dartmouth Aires from Dartmouth College, in New Hampshire, U.S., contacted a small bilingual school in Beijing, asking if the school would be interested in hosting them in the spring of 2015.

The email found its way to the school’s marketing director at the time, a Thai with a passion for music. The rest, as they say, is history.

Under the umbrella of her employer Ivy Education Group, the founder of Kula Co., Ltd. Kanokewan Wuttithamrong (Khun Ja) organized the first “A Night to Remember” Charity Concert in March 2015. In collaboration with the Dartmouth Aires, the Four Seasons Hotel Beijing, and through the generosity of the school and Beijing communities, she raised over US$20,000 for the school’s beneficiaries. This was followed by a second edition of “A Night to Remember,” this time featuring Harvard University’s a cappella groups, the Radcliffe Pitches and the Harvard Krokodiloes in June 2019, which raised over US$23,000 for various worthy causes.

After 20 years of working and living abroad, Khun Ja has returned to Bangkok to bring the joy and magic of a cappella music to her home country, in an effort to help those in need. With both pride and humility, she hopes to make music an uplifting instrument for change and meaningful enjoyment for her fellow Thais.
