The Cause
Selecting a recipient for the funds raised from the “A Night to Remember” Charity Concert was no easy task. There are so many worthy and deserving organizations in Thailand, all with such dedicated staff. However, for the purposes of this concert, it was important to us that the chosen recipient is focused on education and youth, with a strong track record, demonstrates transparency, and has nationwide footprint.
With the above parameters in mind, Kula has chosen CCF Thailand, under the Royal Patronage of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, as the recipient of “A Night to Remember” Charity Concert for 2022.
CCF: 60 years of fostering children and youth development across the Kingdom
The origins of CCF Thailand dates back to 1957, beginning over 60 years of its commitment to children and youths across Thailand. In 1975, the organization was officially registered as the Community Children Foundation or CCF Thailand. Its pioneering work, transparency and dedication has been apparent to all, and in 1994, HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously accepted CCF under Her Royal Patronage.
Since its inception, CCF has received numerous awards including winner of the Thai NGO Award in 2015, and a 5-Star Charity Ratings by Giving Back Association on Financial Efficiency and Good Governance. Most recently in January 2022, the Ministry of Education officially recognized CCF for its CCFLearnSmart Project, an innovative program launched during the pandemic to support underprivileged children who were unable to attend in-person classes due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Through social engagement and collaboration, CCF promotes children and youth development, enabling young Thais to grow up to be contributing members of society. Today, the impact of CCF Thailand’s work can be felt nationwide in 34 provinces, with over 42,000 children benefiting from its education sponsorship program.
For 600 baht a month, or 7200 baht a year, sponsors can support a child’s education, school supplies, and age appropriate enhancement program, aimed at providing the child/youth with a strong foundation for a better life. Proceeds from “A Night to Remember” will go to helping fund this essential program, providing educational support to transform the lives of more Thai youth across the country..
