Staying true to our ethos of “where cause and community connect”, this year’s edition is offering not one but TWO performances for our distinguished guests. For our matinee show, we have invited audience members who may not normally have the means or opportunity to attend this type of concert, with the generous support from United Flour Mills Public Company Limited. Meanwhile, our evening program will be ticketed sales for the general public, with all proceeds supporting two incredible organizations: the Mercy Centre and the Bangkok Post Foundation.
At Kula, we believe in empowering our youths and creating opportunities for them to be tomorrow’s changemakers. As such, more than 100 youths will be eagerly performing for our patrons on June 3rd under the stunning backdrop of Aksra Theatre (capacity 580 seats). They include Harvard University’s oldest a cappella group the Harvard Krokodiloes, the award-winning Thai Youth Orchestra, and students from the Mercy Centre. For the Mercy Centre students, this will mark their first time ever performing at a professional theatre, in front of a real audience. The concert will also feature internationally renowned crossover band VieTrio, and will conclude on a high note with Bangkok Post Foundation recipient and self-taught pianist, Somsak Chaima.
The event will also showcase a SILENT AUCTION, featuring original student artwork from five international schools: Astra Academy, International School Bangkok, KIS International, Ruamrudee International School Ratchapreuk, and Shrewsbury International School Riverside campus. These budding artists tapped into their talent, to help others. And we are incredibly grateful.
Under the theme “IMAGINE”, “A Night to Remember” Charity Concert and Silent Auction promises to be another unforgettable evening. One that will hopefully not only entertain, but touch and inspire you, while making a real difference in someone’s life.
We hope to welcome you on June the 3rd!
